Meryl has been a strategic player in the management of hundreds of announcements, product launches and events. Successes include:

■ Launched Mobot, the first visual search and recognition technology solution to combine the use of camera phones with a fun, convenient and spam-free method for consumers to interact with their favorite consumer brands. Secured coverage in Dow Jones Newswire, The Boston Globe, USA Today, Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal along with wireless and marketing publications. Press coverage resulted in $11 million dollar letter of intent by NeoMedia Technologies Inc.

■ Launched Mitigo's CodePoint, a software solution that allows mobile phones, PDAs and emerging wireless devices to read visual symbols such as barcodes and complex matrix codes via integrated digital cameras. Secured coverage in USA Today, CNN, CNN.com, The Boston Globe, wireless publications and IT trade magazines.

■ Managed media and analyst relations for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 AIIM International Conference & Exposition and the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition, produced by Questex Media Group. The 2007 event attracted nearly 25,000 visitors from 50 states, 77 countries and representatives from 110 Fortune 500 companies, creating a 35 percent increase in conference attendance. The 2008 event drew more than 200 media including, ComputerWorld, eWeek, InformationWeek, Forrester Research, Gartner, IDC and The Wall Street Journal as well as document management and on demand printing publications.

■ Managed media outreach for Kronos Incorporated for three years. Kronos’ technology empowers organizations around the world to effectively manage their workforce. Secured press coverage in Investor’s Business Daily as well as local and trade publications. The company’s stock price grew from $38.63 to $54 per share.

■ Launched Salem, Massachusetts’ Haunted Passport, an affinity program that offered discounts and benefits to city visitors. Secured coverage in The Boston Globe, Northshore Magazine, Boston Herald, WBZ, Boston Now, Salem News, WHERE Magazine and online websites.

■ Introduced Devens Recycling Center, the country’s largest fully enclosed state of the art C&D transfer station, to Massachusetts media. Secured stories in The MetroWest Daily News, The Weston Town Crier and The Lowell Sun.

■ Launched United Business Media’s Internet Evolution, a Web 2.0 site focused on the future of the internet. Created news announcements around new staff, key features and functionality as well as blog contributors. Secured coverage in media publications such as FOLIO:, min’s b2b, Media Business and BtoB as well as media focused blogs. Website creator, Stephen Saunders, was tapped as industry thought leader for awards, events and editorial coverage.

■ Participated as a strategic player to the corporate communications department of United Business Media LLC, the publisher of InformationWeek, CRN and EE Times. Secured press coverage for the company in the New York Times , additional business outlets as well as media and marketing publications.

■ Created launch press release for Innovation Generation, an interactive program that inspires kids to explore innovation and technology. Press release generated more than 10,000 children beta testers.
